BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Regulation of removing Covid-19-free evidence-letter as a condition for domestic travel is considered to have an impact on increasing regional income (Pendapatan Asli Daerah, PAD), especially in Bandung.
This was conveyed by a teacher and economic expert in Universitas Pasundan, Acuviarta Kartabi.
According to him, this momentum is able to have a positive impact on the economy of Bandung. However, he asked the public not to ignore health protocols so as not to cause new variants or escalations.
“The removal of regulation will certainly increase mobility and give impacts to the economic growth,” he said, Monday, 14 March 2022.
Seeing on the regulation set by the central government, the regional income in Bandung will at least increase by 1.7 – 2 trillion rupiahs.
He stated that taxes which will probably increase include hotel tax, restaurant, parking, road light, land and building tax (Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan, PBB) and land and building right acquisition fees (Bea Perolehan atas Tanah dan Bangunan, BPHTB).
This momentum will also boost the economic growth of Bandung in the second quarter of 2022, which will also boost the momentum of Ramadhan and Eid.
“It is just a matter of solving the scarcity and high cost of some basic needs. Do not let people’s purchasing power go down,” he added.
Although this regulation has been issued by the central government, local governments must adapt to conditions in the field and in hospitals.
“However, this condition-towards-normality must be handled wisely so that the acceleration of economic recovery and health can be carried out hand in hand,” he hoped. (Reta)*
