BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Pasundan is celebrating its 46th anniversary. On its journey, Unpas FEB has already obtained so many achievements and showed its increasing performance.
This year, the 46th celebration of Unpas FEB is done together with two other agendas, namely the Launching of Cooperative for Post-service Fund and Community of Students’ Entrepreneurship. Since last month, various interesting programs have been done to celebrate the anniversary.
At the main event held on 8 January 2022 both in online and offline, Dean of Unpas FEB, Dr. H. Atang Hermawan, S.E., MSIE., Ak., sent his gratitude for all achievements, thanks to dedication and hard work of all Unpas FEB academic civitas.
“At this age, there are a lot of meaningful findings that can be obtained. In organizational order, Unpas FEB remains stable. It looks from the similar vision and mission, movement, dynamic movement, togetherness, as well as self-evaluation and appreciation,” he said.
He also thought that the similarity of vision and mission contributes to a huge effect to the effective management in Unpas FEB. The dynamic movement in Unpas FEB also makes it more alive and developed.
Asides from that, its togetherness give proper access to social comfort, so it affects to the performance productivity. Self-evaluation and appreciation encourage all staffs in Unpas FEB to obtain more achievements.
“These are main important factors that need to be maintained still, so that Unpas FEB could run and perform better. The faculty need to keep its solidarity and closeness to the society as a form of commitment in order to improve people’s dignity in education field,” he continued.
Referring to the theme, “Berinovasi Bersama Menuju FEB yang Berkelanjutan di Era Society 5.0”, the launching of Cooperative for Post-Service Fund and Community of Students’ Entrepreneur is expected to support the birth of individuals who are prepared and ready to face change and challenge.
“The purpose of establishing the cooperative is to improve Unpas FEB’s staffs’ welfare and provide them capital or cash loan assistance for supporting their micro/small-scale units, if any,” he explained.
Other benefits given to them are not only about economy, but also socially, such as to actualize peaceful life for the staffs, as well as creating a spirit of collaboration and kinship. In addition, Community of Students’ Entrepreneurship was established to give a proper place student who have interest to run a business to be able to start and develop at the earlier stage and more guided.
“This community is formed to help Unpas FEB students in setting their business uniqueness and the exact market gap in order to reach a slight chance of succeed, as well as to handle the issues of unemployed intellectual graduates from Unpas FEB,” he confirmed.
In his speech, Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU, stated that at this age, the burden, duty and challenge which will be faced by Unpas FEB in welcoming the 5.0 society era will be heavier and tougher.
“Unpas has already planned its new vision, namely to ‘Actualize Entrepreneurial University which Upholds Sundanese and Islamic Values in 2037’. This term [entrepreneurial university] did not come to our mind at sudden, it needs cooperation and collaboration to take advantage of the existing potential, one of which is through the contributions of students and the academic community at FEB Unpas,” he explained.
The same thing was conveyed by the General Chairmain of Paguyuban Pasundan, Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Sc., that it was difficult to achieve an entrepreneurial university if the elements within it do not have the skills, especially those related to the economic aspect.
Celebration of Unpas FEB’s 46th anniversary was continued by the reading of decree (Surat Keputusan, SK) and achievement handing-over for academic civitas and outstanding students, quick quiz, tumpeng (a triangle-shaped yellowed-rice), bicycle prize draw and other entertainment. (Reta)*
