BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – PT Tirta Fresindo Jaya, a subsidiary of PT. Mayora Indah Tbk (Mayora Group) held employee recruitment at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Pasundan, on 16-17 February 2022.
Vice Dean III of Unpas Faculty of Engineering Ir. Bukti Tarigan, MT stated that this recruitment is not only intended for alumni of the faculty itself, but also alumni of other universities.
“PT Tirta Fresindo Jaya requires fresh graduates from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Incidentally, Unpas has already had Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Department,” he said on Thursday, 17 February 2022.
The recruitment itself is not the first time held within Faculty of Engineering. Previously, both private companies and state-owned enterprises have often held similar events in the faculty.
“It is needed to know that Faculty of Engineering only provides its place for supporting the process of recruitment. Therefore, it could gain more employees who are skilful, competent and prepared for their career,” he explained.
Besides providing places for the recruitment, the faculty also prepared other facilities, such as health protocol facilities, as well as Peduli Lindungi barcode; considering the fact that Bandung set already its Level-3 State of Emergency implementation.
Mentioned about the alumni enthusiasm in attending the recruitment of PT. Tirta Fresindo Jaya, Bukti also said that it was quite good.
“We hope the alumni could get into the company to develop their career,” he said.
Having adjusted to the pandemic condition, the steps of walk-in interview with Human Resources and user are divided into four stages, in order to avoid crowds.
The total registrants who took part in the interview were approximately 600 people. While registrants from the alumni of the Unpas Faculty of Engineering reached 100 people.
“The positions needed are Production, Engineering, and Utility Staff. The recruitment process is completely the prerogative of the company,” he continued.
Butki hopes that there could be many alumni of the Unpas Faculty of Engineering who will get into the company. His party will also talk about suggestions from users to be implemented into the curriculum.
“Suggestions from users are very important, because there may be a curriculum that needs to be changed according to the needs in the field. That way, we can fix it. After all, our students will be used in the community, so users must be given the opportunity to provide suggestions to us,” he concluded. (Reta)*
