BANDUNG, unpas.ac .id – Universitas Pasundan, through Institution for Studies and Development of Islamic Syiar (Lembaga Pengkajian dan Pengembangan Syiar Islam, LPPSI) commemorates Nuzulul Quran or the event of the revelation of the Koran with the tausiah of Ramadhan.
The commemoration of Nuzulul Quran is one of the agenda for the Kajian Islam Ramadhan (Kaisar) which was initiated by LPPSI to provide a spiritual finding and remind the essence of Nuzulul Quran.
The event was held in a hybrid manner and centred at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, Tamansari Campus No. 6-8, Bandung, on Wednesday, 20 April 2022. The commemoration of this time’s Nuzulul Quran is special because it presents former General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Din Syamsudin as a lecturer.
Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU who has been doing umrah in Makkah emphasized to all academic civitas to do good values of the Koran and build the spirit to avoid misunderstanding.
“The order to read the Koran is not only about individual order to Rasulullah, but also a collective order to all Moslem. We hope, this Science-and-technology-based commemoration of Nuzulul Quran became the program which supports and encourages social transformation,” he said.
On that occasion, Din Syamsudin conveyed that the message of the Koran strongly encouraged Moslems to build civilization advancement. The faith, knowledge and good deeds contained in the Koran will definitely bring Moslems to be the best people.
“Nuzulul Quran is an event of grace that signifies guidance from Allah. The dimension of grace that includes the senses, instincts, and reason are actually quite sufficient for humans to reach the truth,” he said.
However, humans are created with passions that often make it difficult for them to reach the truth. So, revelation was sent down as a second guidance to form a complete human personality.
Alquran contains guidance and distinction between truth and evil. Islam and the Koran came down because of divine love. If you can understand it, surely humans will explore it with love.
“Two graces are provisions for life that must be grateful for. Do not hesitate to go back to the Koran. Give a place for religion, do not get trapped and make Islam a ritual of worship,” he said.
He appealed, Nuzulul Quran should be commemorated with efforts to understand and practice the Koran to build Islamic culture and civilization in the midst of daily life. (Reta)*
