BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – In next 10-16 August, Universitas Pasundan will hold an Instructional Techniques Basic Skills Improvement Training (Pelatihan Peningkatan Keterampilan Dasar Teknik Instruksional, Pekerti) and Applied Approach (AA).
Head of the Team of Pekerti/AA Training, Dr. Cartono, M.Pd., M.T., as well as Head of Unpas Instructional Activity Development and Improvement Center stated that his party is currently doing several preparations for the training.
“The preparation consists of curriculum re-actualization to be adjusted to the regulation set by Kemendikbudristek and 21st century skill demand. Besides that, we should also improve Learning Management System (LMS) in order to facilitate the training online and ToT implementation for prospective instructor,” he explained on Friday, 30 July 2021.
Previously stated, of 78 universities invited to submit the proposal, there were only 57 of them which passed the selection. Unpas is the only one private university under LLDIKTI Region IV West Java – Banten which passed the selection.
“This is a follow-up to the appointment of Unpas as the organizer of Pekerti/AA training for teachers around Indonesia. It is also according to the Kemendikbudristek Decree No. 1955/E-4/KK.01.01/2021,” he explained on Friday, 30 July 2021.
Pekerti/AA Training aims to help the government improve teacher’s competence in making plans, implementation, and development of learning evaluation instrument.
“The training implementation should be adjusted to the minimum standard of curriculum according to the 2004 Guideline of Implementation and Lesson Materials for Pekerti/AA. Training instructor is also required to have Instructor Certification for Pekerti/AA,” he said.
In the near future, Unpas will publish a certificate as proof of attendance and graduation for the teachers joined the Pekerti/AA Training. Teachers’ data who passed the program will be further reported to the Directorate of Resource through SISTER application (Sistem Informasi Sumber Daya Terintegrasi, Integrated Information System of Resources).
“Training aims to improve teachers’ professionalism, especially related to their skill in carrying out a collaborative learning or Student-centered Learning (SCL),” he said.
Later, Unpas will be more pro-active to take strategic roles, carry out its creativities and innovations in supporting the government improve the quality of education in Indonesia.
“We hope Unpas would be more improved, market by the achievement of all parameters of National Standard of Higher Education regarding the 8 Main Performance Indicators (Indikator Kinerja Utama, IKU) and Additional Performance Indicator (Indikator Kinerja Tambahan, IKT) which come from three main parameter of excellent university, namely from the quality of graduates, teachers and curriculum,” he explained.
Having passed the selection for Pekerti/AA Training also becomes an honour for Unpas, pride and beautiful present for Paguyuban Pasundan on its 108th anniversary. At that age, Paguyuban Pasundan soar its mission to get rid of ignorance and poverty.
“We are determined to carry out this mandate with full responsibility. Moreover, Pekerti/AA training certificate is a prerequisite for teachers who will take part in Teacher Certification program to obtain a professional certificate,” he ended. (Reta)
