BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Plans on holding face-to-face learning process in Universitas Pasundan which was originally to be held in July 2021 had to be postponed because the Covid-19 case in Bandung had stroke again.
This is conveyed by Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU in the announcement letter regarding Postponement of Face-to-face Lectures, published Monday, June 21st, 2021
“Referring to the announcement letter from Pasundan Foundation of Higher Education (Yayasan Pendidikan Tinggi Pasundan) and observing the Covid-19 pandemic cases in Bandung which are getting increasing, the planning and preparation for face-to-face lecture/ learning process will be postponed until the situation shows better result,” he explained.
Previously, Unpas was currently preparing the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) and supporting infrastructure regarding the face-to-face lecture, according to the supervision from Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim about the reopening of schools and campuses.
However, considering the spread risk and current condition, postponing the face-to-face lecture is considered the best way. Therefore, learning process in Unpas will be continued online.
Besides enforcing the policy of Working from Home (Bekerja dari Rumah, BDR) regulation since June 21st – July 2nd, the Rector also urged all faculties to switch administrative service to both academic websites and online front officer support.
“Considering the health and safety of lecturers, education staff, and students who are top priority, the on-site service is only for activities that are important and urgent,” he said
The activities concerned include student supervision, thesis and dissertation, as well as laboratory practice. On its implementation, the person concerned should obey and apply strict health protocol.
Rector also conveyed that the regulation must be informed and socialized to all elements in each faculty through the Dean. The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the faculties and the Student Association (Hima) of the study program are also encouraged to continue it through social media or other means.
