National Quality Month, Unpas Signing the MoU with BSN

BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Commemorating the World Standard Day, National Standardization Agency (Badan Standardisasi Nasional, BSN) consistently holds the National Quality Month (Bulan Mutu Nasional, BMN). 

One of the series of the opening of 2021 BMN is to get and obtain synergy with 13 universities in LLDIKTI Region IV written in the form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Universitas Pasundan represented by Vice Rector III, Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si also signed the MoU, taking place at the Grand Ballroom of The Trans Luxury Hotel, on Wednesday, 3 November 2021.

“MoU consists of the implementation of University Tri Dharma, namely in the field of education, research and community service,” he said. 

As for the details, the instruments of collaboration include the improvement of human resource quality, expert provision, seminar, workshop, as well as Training of Trainers (ToT) for teachers in the field of standardization and conformity assessment. 

 “In addition, it also includes the development and coaching of SNI implementation, research and dissemination of research result in standardization division and conformity assessment, as well as improvement of Unpas academician’s participations at that event,” he continued. 

Unpas can also carry out the data and information exchange in standardization and conformity assessment according to the current existing regulation. 

“The signing of MoU also consists of other activities which will be further discussed and negotiated by several parties,” he explained. 

The context of MoU refers to the purpose of BMN implementation in strengthening the national competition through stabilization of quality infrastructure in standardization and conformity assessment.

BMN is an event for stakeholders to convey contributions, both those that have been and will be made in the field of standardization and conformity assessment. This year, BMN brings and holds the theme “SNI untuk Indonesia Tangguh dan Indonesia Tumbuh”. After taking MoU signing along with other universities, the event continued by national seminar of standardization. 

The seminar presented expert speakers in their fields, namely Dr. Ir. Mohammad Rudy Salahuddin, MEM (Deputy of Digital Economic Coordination Division for KUKM Kemenko Perekonomian) and Dr. Achmad Idrus, M.M (Deputy of Capital Investment Service Division for Kementerian Investasi/BKPM). 

The event was also attended by Dr. H. Dudi Sudrajat Abdurachim, M.T (Assistance of Administration III West Java Provincial Government), Dr. Dra. Zakiyah, MM (Deputy of BSN Standard Implementation and Conformity Assessment) and Mardani H. Maming (General Chairman of HIPMI). (Reta)*

BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Gokart Team of Universitas Pasundan which has never absent from contributing achievements, Kart Team of Mechanical Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Mesin, HMM) celebrates its 20th anniversary on 1 November 2021. Kart Team riders of Unpas HMM (Kart Team HMM Unpas, KTHU) are well-known as a strong opponent when doing the race at the circuit. Every time there is race in go-kart competition, there are always riders from the team winning the podium. On its fifth round of 2021 Gokart Eshark Rok Cup National Competition held in Sentul International Karting Circuit, Bogor on 31 October 2021, two reliable riders of the team, M.Iqbal Tawakal and Imam M. Shayid successfully took the highest position in Shifter 150 and Shifter University. Although there is still one final round left, this acquisition is certainly a gift, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of KTHU. Riders of KTHU should train more intensely in order to present their best performance and win the overall title. Iqbal was recorded to have the first position in Shifter 150, followed by Imam in the second. Iqbal was also announced as the Fastest of the Day Shifter 150, while Imam, regaining his victory in the fourth round, was in the first place in Shifter University. Iqbal said that this result he got must be obtained with extra effort. The reason is, his go-kart piston has just been replaced, so it could not work as optimal as possible when he stepped on the accelerator pedal. “There was also human error found in my tire pressure. Machines with new pistons cannot directly perform its best. We were in a hurry, so we have to accept the situation,” he said. Since the first round, Iqbal has always been in the first place. Therefore, in the final round, Iqbal wants to perform better and targets his record of 50.0 seconds in one lap. “There is one more round left, I want to perform better. I hope in the last round, I could reach the target,” he continued. The General Manager and Mechanic of KTHU, Lukman Sholehudin said that the riders and teams continue to improve their skills and consistence to prepare themselves in the next championships/competitions. “Alhamdulillah, it has been 20 years. Thanks to all your prayers and consistence, as well as support from KTHU Council, teams, university staff leaders, faculties and Department of Mechanical Engineering. Without your support, we could not give our best performance,” he said. He hopes that later KTHU is able to show their best internationally, maintain their achievements, and be the number one go-kart team. “We hope we could join the world highest-level go-kart championship, the Rok Super Final,” he concluded.
