BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan, represented by its Research Institution (Lembagaa Penelitian, Lemlit) held the 2022 Socialization Program for Matching Fund both offline and online at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, Unpas Campus II, Jl. Tamansari and Zoom Meeting application, on Friday, 21 January 2022.
This socialization was attended by Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU., Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. H. Jaja Suteja, SE., M.Si., Vice Rector II Dr. Ir. Yudi Garnida, MP., Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si. (attended in online room, since he was in outside Java), Head of Lemlit Dr. Hj. Erni Rusyani, SE., MM, Vice Director of Postgraduate Program, and teachers within Unpas.
The event presented Expert Policy Analyst of Directorate General for Kemendikbudristek Drs. Endang Taryono as keynote speaker. Besides promoting the 2022 Matching Fund Program, Endang also explained about Kedaireka, a platform connecting the university to industry.
Matching Fund is a form of support from Kemendikbudristek to create collaboration and strategic synergy between Dikti and Business and Industry World (Dunia Usaha dan Dunia Industri, DUDI). Matching Fund makes its prioritized for collaboration which can contribute to the Key Performance Indicator (Indikator Kinerja Utama, IKU).
“Matching Fund becomes one of the added values for the formation of collaboration between two parties through the Kedaireka platform. The target to be achieved is to increase the quality and relevance of higher education graduates through improving the capabilities of lecturers, curriculum, and learning,” explained the Head of Lemlit, Dr. Erni Rusyani, SE., MM. on her report.
The Rector hoped that Matching Fund socialization could be a motivator in improving and applying MBKM program initiated by Kemendikburistek.
“Last year, there were only 2 Unpas teachers who passed the selection of Matching Fund Kedaireka. We hope that the achievement would trigger the spirit and inspiration in establishing collaboration with external party, so that this year we would get much more teachers passed the program,” he said.
Endang also said that Kemendikburistek allocated its 1.4 trillion rupiahs, almost six times higher compared to last year which was only 250 billion, for the 2022 Matching Fund. The program will be divided into three schemes; thematic scheme, general scheme and infrastructure scheme.
Thematic Scheme focuses on five priorities of issues faced by the government, such as green economy, blue economy, digital economy, tourism and infrastructure preparation. General scheme has its concern on education, security, social and health; while infrastructure scheme is more to the infrastructure preparation.
“The main important thing of Matching Fund program is actually in five points: research outputs which is later to be presented on seminars, published, patented and effected directly to the society and development itself,” he explained.
Kedaireka encourages universities as think-tanks to create science and technology and innovation through research that can be streamlined by business and industry, and has a holistic impact on national development.
“Because Matching Fund is a one-year program, teachers must have a clear roadmap. If it cannot be completed in 1 year, they should better make a grand design for 3 years, not more. Most importantly, it must have benefits for students and industry,” he concluded. (Reta)*
