BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) joins collaboration with Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia, PMI) for Bandung and Student’s Unit of Volunteer Corps (Kegiatan Mahasiswa Korps Sukarela, KSR) Universitas Pasundan at the event of KOICA Goes to Campus.
KOICA is a Korean International Collaboration Agency established for maximizing Korean assistance to several developed countries, both in the form of grant-fund assistance and technical assistance.
Head of KSR Unpas Rezky Hidayat Aminullah said that KOICA Goes to Campus is a program targeting for students to be prepared and trained to be Humanity Ambassador. Later, the prospective ambassador will be prepared for various trainings.
“It includes basics of first aid, medical urgency, fire extinguisher, Covid-19 (immunity), basic concept of HIRA (Hazard, Identification, Risk, Assessment), and many more,” he said.
Humanity Ambassador is expected to have broad knowledge and understanding, skill and spirit of humanity.
Apart from having the training, Humanity Ambassador will also attend KOICA Safety at Home, a follow-up activity in the form of education and health service given to the community.
“KOICA Goes to Campus is really good and well organized to add up commitment, creativity, as well as students’ leadership spirit and humanity,” he continued.
Today, registrants for KOICA Goes to Campus is still running on interview selection process. “There are a lot of benefits which can be taken, such as relation, contribution to the community, being a volunteer and becoming the front-liner of humanity,” he concluded. (Reta)**
