BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Rector of Universitas Pasundan Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU. was elected by acclamation as Head of IKA Unpas for the 2022-2027 term of service. This decision was made based on the results of the Third IKA Unpas Congress held on Sunday, 28 August 2022.
IKA Unpas Election Commission mandates the elected chairman to elect a new board, a maximum of one month after the congress.
The Third IKA Unpas Congress Forum established a team of formators consisting of Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M. Kom., IPU. (Elected Chair), Dr. Sobur Dwiono, M.M. (Demissioner of the General Chair of IKA Unpas 2016-2021), representatives of the Bandung IKA management, IKA Korda Banten, and IKA Faculty of Law.
Prof. Eddy is the first Unpas Rector who was graduated from Unpas. He took his Bachelor Degree in the Faculty of Engineering and attended the graduation ceremony in 1979.
In his brief speech, the Rector will soon arrange the management of “Kabinet Pelangi” of IKA Unpas for 2022-2027. He also said that the list of adminstators will involve alumni who serve and work on bureaucracy, politics, police department, military, business and industry, as well as academicians.
“My vision is, to make IKA Unpas alumni’s pride and alma mater, to improve/develop both alumni’s and society’s welfare in 2027,” he said.
To actualize the vision, Rector brings up three main visions, including gather the alumni’s potential spread in Indonesia and in foreign country, build partnership with all parties, as well as contribute on the improvement of alumni’s and society’s welfare.
“Regarding the alumni Hall, we can temporarily take advantage of the Mahawarman Command Headquarters because IKA Unpas must establish branding within the city to facilitate coordination,” he continued.
In the future, the Rector will also fix the inventory of alumni data to find out the distribution and potential of alumni from all generations.
“The alumni database must be repaired and reorganized, because it is one of the important instruments that will be assessed by assessors during re-accreditation,” he said.
Demsissioner Head of IKA Unpas 2016-2021 Dr. Sobur Dwiono, M.M. emphasized to the elected chairman to carry out his obligations and formulate a more systematic work program, especially in inventorying alumni data.
“In addition to having a permanent and representative secretariat or headquarters, I want IKA Unpas, both at the level of central office, faculties, and regions to be able to carry out functions as a career centre, business centre, and serve the community. This could be an effort to make an inventory of alumni data,” he explained.
