BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Students participated in the 2022 Batch II Inbound Student Exchange Program Merdeka (Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka, PMM) attend Modul Nusantara Learning at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, on Saturday, 24 September 2022.

PMM requires learning for 20 credits, which include 4 credits for Modul Nusantara. It is a series focused on creating a comprehensive understanding of diversity, inspiration, reflection, and social contribution.

Modul Nusantara is designed through sequential and repeated mentoring to maximize the meeting space between students and increase tolerance.

In the first-batch of Modul Nusantara learning, students are provided with the history of the Paguyuban Pasundan, as well as the role of Otto Iskandar Dinata in raising Paguyuban Pasundan and pioneering the Indonesian Army.

The learning materials were presented by teacher of Unpas FISIP Dr. Ade Priangani, M.Si, led by editorial staff of Unpas PMM Modul Nusantara Taufiqullah Dahlan, M.Pd and Acep Roni Hamdani, M.Pd.

As organization which supervise Unpas, the journey and figures of Paguyuban Pasundan need to be known by students of PMM II; including main central theme, development of leadership, as well as metamorphosis-phase of Paguyuban Pasundan.

“The dedication and courage of the Sundanese figure, Otto Iskandar Dinata, in encouraging the development of the Republic of Indonesia, sparking the cry of independence, until his forgotten disappearance must also be our attention,” he said.

Internalizing Culture of Sundanese People

Person-in-charge of Unpas Batch II PMM Angga Maulana, S.S., M.Pd. said that each week, there will be a learning of Modul Nusantara which is divided into four aspects: bhinneka (unity), inspiration, reflection and national contribution.

“Tomorrow, students will attend outbound activity, which is part of bhinneka (unity) and inspiration materials, held in Jendela Alam tourist destination. They will learn about hydroponic, make and cook West Java traditional food and fun game,” he explained.

The result of bhinneka (unity) and inspiration learning will be discussed in the workshop (part of reflection). Other than Jendela Alam, students will also explore Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda (Tahura), Wisata Pangalengan, and many more, in the next few weeks.

Referring to the PMM tagline “Bertukar Sementara, Bermakna Selamanya”, Unpas wants to provide and give experience to the students which is in line with the culture of Sundanese people.

“We try to provide optimal service by showing that Sundanese people and Unpas academic civitas has their own characteristics: someah hade kasemah (being kind to other people, especially guests), so that when this program is over, that characteristic will be memorable for them,” he concluded.
