BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Welcoming the 62nd Anniversary of Universitas Pasundan and implementing University Tri Dharma, Faculty of Medicine holds a free mass circumcision program.
The program was held in Miftahul Huda Assyatibi Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda Assyatibi, Kp. Maleber, Cikalongkulon Sub-District, Cianjur District, on Monday, 6 November 2022.
On this program, Unpas Faculty of Medicine collaborates with Paguyuban Pasundan for Cianjur, Division for Women Empowerment of PB Paguyuban Pasundan, Karang Taruna Kharisma, and SMA Pasundan Cikalongkulon.
Vice Dean III of Unpas Faculty of Medicine, dr. Trias Nugrahadi, Sp.KN (K) stated that the program was attended by approximately 30 children.
“The program is an actualization of community service and indeed one of the curriculum materials,” he explained.
He said that the committee team involved around 15 personnel, including doctors and Unpas Faculty of Medicine academic civitas.
“In addition, it is also a manifestation of Islamic concepts written in vision and mission of Unpas and Unpas Faculty of Medicine,” he continued.
Before the circumcision was carried out, doctors first conducted an examination to make sure the child’s condition allowed for the circumcision.
The FK Unpas team of doctors also conveyed information on post-circumcision care and healing, so that the treatment was more appropriate. (Reta)**
