
BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Towards the end of Ramadhan 1443H, the Executive Board of Paguyuban Pasundan along with its leading sector in Bandung under the support of Komda of Priangan Kulon Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si distributed 300 packages of staple food through the event of Pasundan Berbagi, on Tuesday, 26 April 2022.
The packages were symbolically handed over at the Hall of Paguyuban Pasundan Building, Jalan Sumatera No. 41, Bandung.
With the title ‘Indahnya Berbagi di Bulan Suci Ramadhan’, General Chairman of Paguyuban Pasundan, Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Si hoped that the packages distributed could be useful for the community.
“In our property, there are rights for our brother. Hopefully this could bring joy and blessings in the month of Ramadhan,” he said.
Head of the Committee of Pasundan Berbagi who is as well Secretary of Social Sciences Doctoral Program at Universitas Pasundan, Dr. Thomas Bustomi, M.Si. The packages will be distributet to people who were affected by Covid-19.
“The assistance was collected from all components of Paguyuban Pasundan. This is an actualization of the mission of Paguyuban Pasundan, namely katara ayana, karasa manfaatna,” he said.
This program is not only carried out during Ramadhan, but also in other situations and conditions, such as natural disasters, management of Covid-19 and so on.
“Last year, Paguyuban Pasundan distributed 1,000 food packages to the community during the Ramadan Mapag momentum. This time, we distributed basic food assistance to school guards, cleaning-service officers in the Paguyuban Pasundan, and the surrounding community,” he explained.
The packages contain cooking oil, pack of rice and other basic needed for celebrating Idul Fitri. “This is a form of incentives, especially in Ramadhan: when our good deeds are doubled,” he continued.
Thomas, who are also Head of Paguyuban Pasundan for Bandung said that Pasundan Berbagi has become a place for spreading the benefit, improving our awareness and strengthening silaturahmi. “We wish good things like this could be spread to the other 30 branches of Paguyuban Pasundan,” he concluded.
