BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Dean of Faculty of Law Universitas Pasundan Dr. Anthon F. Susanto, S.H., M.Hum is in the Top 5 Ranking Scientist in University. This was released by the 2022 AD Scientific Index for Indonesia.
AD Scientific Index is a ranking and analysis system based on individual scientist’s performance and scientific productivity. There are 743.755 scientists of 14.194 universities in 216 countries listed in the ranking of AD Scientific Index.
Anthon is in the 5th in Theory and Philosophy of Law studies. He said that this achievement did not only make him proud, but also become a self-evaluation factor.
“Hopefully, it could lead me to improve more on the quality of the writing and inspire teachers in Unpas Faculty of Law to start writing and creating their own work. No matter how small our work is, it turns out that our work is appreciated, evaluated and certainly useful for the institution,” he said.
Writing scientific papers: books, articles, or journals, is a teacher’s obligation. By writing, teacher’s name will be widely known, especially in the digital era like now.
“Written papers will be read and used as references by the national community, even in various parts of the world. The more works we produce, the higher our chances of getting attention,” he added.
He thought that teacher’s performance is not only measured by teaching, but also their productivity to improve institutional existence.
“My works [paper] will be later quoted and referred. That is why teachers have to write and be closely related to reading. Pour what we have read to the writing so it can be useful for the others,” he explained.
Until now, Anthon has already published 18 books approximately, various articles, both national and international journals, as well scientific research. The book titles which have been written include Filsafat dan Teori Hukum, Penelitian Hukum Transformatif-Partisipatoris, Dekonstruksi Hukum, Wajah Peradilan Kita, Ilmu Hukum Non Sistematik, and many more.
To build writing’s awareness and culture, especially for junior teachers, Unpas Faculty of Law has also prepared few agendas.
“Although it would not be easy, but we try to stimulate the teachers through some research activities, community services, as well as expert activities. Thus, it could give a result of outcome which is able to improve the performance and give birth to a new professor. Since Unpas Faculty of Law lacks of them,” he said.
Later, teacher’s recruitment system in Unpas Faculty of Law will be oriented on Doctoral education, and review on the record of scientific works. “This is none other than to make Unpas Faculty of Law and other academic civitas excellent and qualified,” he concluded. (Reta)*
