BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Currently, podcast has become one of the popular communication media among people. From the digital audio series, podcasts are now getting into the forms of audio-visual which utilize various platforms as broadcast media.
Adjusting to the digital transformation era, Universitas Pasundan also presents podcasts as an educative information facility entitled ‘Unpas Talk’ officially announced by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU on Tuesday, 2 November 2021
On that occasion, the Rector filled out the first premiere broadcast which is scheduled to be broadcasted this weekend. He considered that podcasts are more flexible because they can cover various themes.
“As it was named, the play on demand-cast (podcast) is able to present a discussion which is adjusted to the need. Through podcast, we can offer people the momentum and certain topics; from the general ones, such as art, business; and also share specific issues or information,” he said.
In addition, podcast is an activity which is based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), therefore, apart from being mobile, its production cost is also affordable compared to the real broadcast station. Viewed from the insight, podcasts are also able to cover wide audience.
“Therefore, information from Unpas can be delivered directly to its constituents, namely students, public and people in general. So, we can disseminate all campus’ activities through ‘Unpas Talk’,” he continued.
Vice Rector III as well as Person-in-Charge of Unpas Publication and Branding, Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si stated that the launching of ‘Unpas Talk’ podcast was as one of promotion strategies and implementations of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by applying multiplatform concept.
“We carry out the promotion strategy by using social media, such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, as well as podcast to promote our service products through interactive contents,” he explained.
He also added that podcast also aims to increase brand awareness and engagement for people. Unpas Talk has functions as media to listen to the news, even as media for sharing repeatable knowledge.
“Hopefully, Unpas branding through podcast would be more precise and would present in the middle of people’s positive perception,” he concluded. (Reta)*
