
BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Marthias Daffa Ismail (English Literature/Faculty of Art and Literature) and Nurul Intn Krisnayanti (Communication Studies/Faculty of Social and Political Science) were elected as the 2022 Duta Kampus Pinilih at the Grand Final of 2022 Pasanggiri Duta Kampus Unpas, on Saturday, 23 July 2022.
As many as 30 finalists of the 2022 Duta Kampus Unpas competed to offer their best performance through their presentation on wearing traditional clothes and Q&A session along with the judges of West Java Mojang Jajaka, West Java Miss Grand Tourism and Duta Kampus Pinilih (Third Batch).
The 2022 Pasanggiri Duta Kampus held to commemorate the 109th Anniversary of Paguyuban Pasundan brought the theme “Implementasi Aksarakarsa dalam Pesona Cipta Nusantara”.
The event which has been absent for two years is quite different since it was attended by representatives of Paguyuban Pasundan for Papua. It is also to celebrate the 31st Anniversary of Unpas Wives’ Association (Ikatan Istri Keluarga Unpas, IIKU)
Head of IIKU and person-in-charge of the 2022 Pasanggiri Duta Kampus Unpas stated that the demands said that the demands faced by the Unpas Campus Ambassador are huge and heavy. In addition to being a representative of the campus, the Campus Ambassador is also faced with the era of disruption and digitalization.
“This activity must give birth to the output of Campus Ambassadors who apply nyantri, nyunda, nyakola, and nyakola. These four principles must be adapted to the current situation. Represent Unpas to the community and take care of the fixed procedure and the big name of campus,” she said.
She also emphasized that although it has been sophisticated in every aspect of life, Sundanese attitude and identity must not be separated from ourselves. Duta Kampus (Campus Ambassador) are asked to highlight their strength and cover each other’s weaknesses.
“Whoever the winner, he/she must be able to represent Unpas. After the champion is formed, there will be a sustainable program that can bring Unpas better,” she continued.
Strengthening the Literacy
As generation-Z, Campus Ambassador is required to master the literacy, both big data, technology, and humanity.
This was stated by Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU in his speech. In the middle of ‘attacks’ of Internet of Things (IoT), Campus Ambassador needs to be in charge to take place.
“We are in the middle of ‘IoT’ situation in which everything refers to IT-based technology; therefore, Campus Ambassador must perform more than a Public Relation, master and adapt to the campus development as well,” he said.
All about Traditional Clothes and Apparel
Compared to the previous Pasanggiri Duta Kampus, this year’s event is more unique because the 15 couples of campus ambassador finalists wear traditional clothes of various areas in Indonesia, including from Jogja, Aceh, Dayak, Cirebon, Makassar, Koto Gadang, Jambi, Melayu Riau, Pontianak, Padang, Betawi, Solo, Mandailing, Lampung Pesisir, and Bali.
Unpas Vice Rector III for Student Affairs Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si stated that the 2022 Unpas Campus Ambassadors did amazing job to perform their extraordinary potential and energy.
“Aksarakarsa gives extraordinary spirit for the finalist to express themselves; while Pesona Cipta Nusantara connect the internalization of the vision pengkuh agamana, luhung elmuna, jembar budayana,” tuturnya.
General Chairman of Paguyuban Pasundan Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Si stated that Duta Kampus should balance the academic activities and soft skill to support the advancement of Unpas and Paguyuban Pasundan. “Master the concept of your very own study, improve your soft skill and implement it according to the field as well,” he concluded.
