BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Rohman Hidayat, lawyer for Yosef and Yoris in the case of the murder of mother and child in Subang was officially asked to be the Head of the Alumni Association (Ikatan Alumni, IKA) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pasundan for the period of 2022-2027.
Rohman was elected after being the only candidate to advance in the election for the Head of the IKA FH Unpas. In connection with the end of the IKA Unpas management period next August, each faculty is asked to immediately carry out the election of the Head of the faculty’s IKA.
The alumni meeting to determine the Head of the IKA FH Unpas was held at the Grand Preanger Hotel, Bandung, on Thursday, 31 March 2022.
The event was attended by Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si, staffs of deans of the Faculty of Law, Head of Unpas IKA Dr. H. Subur Dwiono, M.M., Head of IKA FH Unpas for the period of 2013-2018 Dr. Saim Aksinuddin, M.H., alumni and other Unpas legal experts.
In his speech, Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si said that the great name of Unpas war remarked by the alumni encouragement and support.
“Lexically, IKA is a place for alumni to communicate, both career aspect and tracer study,” he said.
Tracer study becomes the highest assessment instrument in the accreditation process. He said that alumni tracking should be carried out in a structured and organized method. He also added that the election of new head of IKA FH Unpas is expected to be able to build communication and interaction between alumni. Therefore, it can also establish greater networks of FH Unpas alumni.
“I wish, the selected new head of IKA FH Unpas could be one of Unpas’ strategic partners and build the togetherness, as well as better communication and interaction between alumni,” he added.
Rohman Hidayat also conveyed that he would unify alumni of Faculty of Law spread throughout various institution and field of works.
Most of the alumni serve for certain important position, such as attorney, lawyer, advocate, notary and so on. “Many alumni have not come active in such fields. From now on, we are going to try to make them confident on their own: that, ‘I am an alumnus of Unpas Faculty of Law,” he said.
Throuhg IKA FH Unpas, the alumni can be united to be a new strong power. Rohman wanted the entire alumni to be present to help people’s need.
Some times ago, Rohman was also elected as the Head of Unpas Advocate Forum, in which all advocates which were alumni of Unpas Faculty of Law, were gathered here through Unpas Advocate Forum.
“On this forum, we are ready to help people in need of law assistance, no exception. We do not let people suffered because of there are assumptions stating that paying a lawyer is expensive and the process is complicated; even though it is not like that,” he explained.
Rohman will continue to raise the dignity of Unpas alumni and ensure that the IKA FH Unpas is up for grabs. “I make sure that IKA FH Unpas is able to provide benefits for myself and the community,” he confirmed. (Reta)*
