BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Six students of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Pasundan have completed the 2021 Bangun Kualitas Manusia Indonesia (Bangkit) program held by Google and Directorate General Higher Education of Ministry of Education Culture Research and Technology (Direktorat Jendral Pendidikan Tinggi Kementrian Pendidikan Budaya Riset dan Teknologi).
Six of them are all 2018-grade students, namely Aditya Fataha Dwijaya, Anisa Al Fauziah, Hilman, Ilyasa Ridho Tadzaka, Reyhan Rasyid Ziddan, and Taufik Nur Sidik. They were part of 2.250 students who passed the 2021 Bangkit program after completing 700 courses for six months.
The program is a competence training for students to have a carrier in field of technology arranged through the partnering between Kemendikbudristek, Google, Gojek, Tokopedia and Traveloka in the collaboration of Kampus Merdeka.
“The Department [Informatics Engineering] realizes that the future is on young generation’s. For that, we [the department] followed the instruction and information obtained from Kemendikbudristek and support the students to join in various possible program of Kampus Merdeka, including the 2021 Bangkit,” said Head of the Department, Dr. Ayi Purbasari, ST., MT., on Monday, 19 July 2021.
The academic civitas/community are also proud of the passing of six students who have the opportunity to study with the 2021 Bangkit program. They not only got technical material according to the learning path, but also career development in the field of entrepreneurship and are able to work on capstone.
“We hoped that students who took part in the program would get more challenging provisions, prepared to become true learners who are skilled, tenacious and able to face challenges. In the future, we also hope more students would be able to join the program,” she explained.
On the graduation agenda which was broadcasted live on YouTube channel of Ditjen Dikti on Thursday, 15 July 2021, Managing Director of Indonesian Goodle said that the requirements to pass this program were not easy. This is because the curriculum is quite challenging, accompanied by many assignments that encourage students to implement their new abilities.
Students who passed the program have already completed strict curriculum in machine learning, cloud computing and Android cellular development. They were also required to finish the final group assignment regarding one of the strategic priority in National Mid-Term Development Plan (Rencana Pembangungan Jangka Menengah Nasional, RPJMN) and National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (Strategi Nasional Kecerdesan Artifisial).
“When you already passed the program, be aware, and transfer your skill and will to take risk, experience new things, ask more, and work more,” advised Minister of Education Culture Research and Technology, Nadiem Makarim.
Through Bangkit program, students will receive learning conversion (independent study) of Kampus Merdeka up to 20 credits and certification of Global-standar Google: Associate Android Developer/Associate Cloud Engineer/Tensorflow Certification.
Other than that, these graduates have opportunity to get a successful career in a leading technology company by joining Career Fair. Ten teams with best brilliant idea will obtain incubation fund for their final project and Top 40 can join University Innovation Fellowship program in Stanford University.
