BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Keep focused, fighting and confident: these are the keys that brought three students of Universitas Pasundan passed as awardee of the 37-grader Djarum Beasiswa Plus. Three of them are the class-of-2019, that are Restia Suci Nur Rahmani (Business Administration/FISIP), Ade Ally Rizky (Accounting/FEB) and Visca Istiqa (Food Technology/FT)
One of the awardees as well as the person-in-charge of Beswan Djarum Unpas, Restia Suci, said that she and her colleagues must take a fairly strict selection process and compete with 15,000 participants from universities throughout Indonesia
Knowing More About Djarum Beasiswa Plus
Restia explained that Djarum Beasiswa Plus is a merit scholarship offered by Djarum Foundation. This prestigious scholarship is intended for fourth semester students at leading universities that have partnered.
Djarum Beasiswa Plus does not only provide assistance of education fund, but also prepare the scholarship awardee to be the nation’s next leader by doing coaching program and soft skill training.
Beswan Djarum awardee will get various trainings, such as Character Building, Nation Building, Leadership Development, Competition Challenges, International Exposure, dan Community Empowerment.
“Having such opportunity, to be part of Beswan Djarum, encourages us to improve our achievements and spirit for learning. Additionally, through these trainings, we get more motivated to improve our self-quality and bringing out the name of Unpas,” she explained.
Selection Processi
Steps that are required to attend by the participants are more or less similar to the other scholarship program. It includes administration selection, written test and interview. The whole series of selection is done online, adjusted to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Files that need to be fulfilled included registration form, scholarship-free certificate, Student Identification Card (Kartu Tanda Mahasiwa, KTM), transcripts and proof for organizational activity. Prepare for these requirements long before the deadline and make sure you do not miss anything left,” she said.
Admisitration selection aims to filter all registrants who meet the requirements in order to be able to continue to the next step. Registrant who passed this selection is required to take the written test: Academic Potential Test (Tes Potensi Akademik, TPA) and Psycho test.
“If we passed the selection and get confirmation, Djarum Beasiswa Plus will hold an interview session. Before taking the interview, we are required to write an essay about our self-description and potential. Information described in the essay will be used a reference for the interview,” she continued.
Tips dan Tricks
As an awardee, Restia shared her tips and trick of getting passed the selection, based on her experience. Restia emphasized that the achievement she got is not the main point, because Djarum Beasiswa Plus focuses more on character building and soft skill improvement; one of which is by taking active organization.

In the first steps, all registrants need to prepare files based on what the committee has asked for. Even if it sounds simple, it needs to be taken care for because administration selection will determine of your
- Be Calm and Confident
According to Restia, being confident will help you get through the selection smoothly. Because, when a participant is not confident enough, it is hard for them to focus their mind. Getting used to practicing and answering problems/questions, as well as ensuring physical and mental conditions are also important, especially when doing the written test and psychological test.
- Show Your Potentil during Interview
As mentioned in previous point, being calm and confident are necessarily needed. No need to be nervous. Show your main potential, vision and clear description of your future. These could be the additional value that will be considered by the interviewer. Besides, understand the character of the interviewer so that the whole process does not feel stressful.
