BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Faculty of Engineering Universitas Pasundan welcomed the visit of Chung Yuan Christian University Taiwan, on Wednesday, 9 November 2011.
This visit discussed the collaboration regarding joint research and student exchange program, especially ones which are with Department of Industrial Engineering.
It was welcomed by Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ir. Yusman Taufik, MP., accompanied by Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering Dr. Ir. M. Nurman Helmi, DEA., and Head of Division for International Collaboration Ir. Wahyu Katon, MT.
Chairman & Associate Professor, Department of Industrial and System Engineering Chung Yuan Christian University Joseph Y. T Jou, Ph.D and Assistant Professor Department of Industrial and System Engineering Wei-Jung Shiang, Ph.D also attended on that occasion.
Apart from joint research and student exchange program, both parties also discussed about other planned activities, such as summer school programs and visiting lecturers programs.
“Research that can be carried out together is project management research,” explained the Dean of Unpas Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ir. Yusman Taufik, MP.
Within the scope of Industrial Engineering, project management is needed to make that projects run effectively and efficiently, both in terms of cost, time, and even quality.
“For student exchange program, students in Unpas Faculty of Engineering will take courses for 1 semester at Chung Yuan Christian University Taiwan and so do they,” he added.
The Dean added that after exploring cooperation, 2 Chung Yuan Christian University teachers will fill online course at FT Unpas.
“Material is given in one course by Joseph Y. T Jou, Ph.D. and Wei-Jung Shiang, Ph.D, in approximately 2 to 3 meetings,” he said. (Reta)**
