BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Recently, Centre of Innovation Technology and Business (Pusat Inovasi Teknologi and Bisnis, PITB) Universitas Pasundan has collaborated with Office for Social Services in Karawang District in order to succeed the Social Entrepreneurship Program (Program Kewirausahaan Sosial, ProKus) initiated by Ministry of Social.
ProKus is a continuation of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) to train the independency of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) that has a start-up business. ProKus not only provide fund assistance, but also guidance and mentoring based on the type of KPM business.
In stage 1, Unpas PITB was entrusted to undergo the incubation program for 116 start-up business of 30 sub-districts in Karawang District, West Java. Business that has been undergone by partners include culinary, convection, trading, farm, handcraft and service.
“The Stage-1 tenant incubation will be running from August to December 2021. This business incubation includes the improvement of business capacity, strengthening production aspect and expansion of digital-based marketing network,” said the Director of Unpas PITB Ir. Farid Rizayana, MT., on Monday, 20 September 2021.
Unpas PITB also promotes the socialization program of Government Regulation No. 7/2021 concerning the Ease, Protection and Empowerment of Cooperative for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemudahan, Perlindungan and Pemberdayaan Koperasi Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah).
Other than setting and building the purpose of KPM independency, synergy between Office for Social Service in Karawang District, Unpas PITB as incubator and mentors also determine the success of ProKus. On its implementation, PITB involves teachers within Universitas Pasundan.
“We also make collaboration and cooperation with the community tutors of PKH and Community of Indonesian Association of Business Development Services in Karawang District,” he continued.
The program will end and exhibit the tenant’s excellent program. The selection of excellent tenant was based on monitoring and evaluation result (money) during incubation process.
It needs to be known that Unpas PITB was officially established in August 2016. It aimed to develop the innovation and technopreneurship, as well as maintain the research result commercials in Unpas.
PITB was established after the collaboration with Board of Implementation and Studies of Technology (Badan Penerapan dan Pengkajian Teknologi, BPPT) in 25 July, 2016 regarding the technopreneurship development in Unpas. At that time, BPPT appointed Unpas as the only university in Bandung to implement the technopreneurship course subject.
Unpas PITB establishment aimed to create a excellent, competent, qualified and competitive human resources. Therefore, Unpas is expected to be able to be the initiator in the development of Knowledge and Technology (Ilmu Pengetahun dan Teknology, IPTEK) innovation optimally. (Reta)*
