BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – World ranking institution, UniRank, represented by its official page 4icu.org, releases the new list of best university rank in Indonesia (updated version) on 11 November 2021.
Universitas Pasundan successfully maintains its reputation as Top 50 Best Private University in Indonesia; while in West Java, Unpas ranks 9th along with other state and private universities.
Rector of Unpas, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU highly welcomed this rank released by UniRank. Although this rank is not the main goal, it could be the reference of university quality.
“The assessment will certainly be the preparation for Unpas to improve the quality of education and learning. In providing the rank itself, the related institution will assess objectively based on predetermined criteria,” he said, on Thursday, 18 November 2021.
This achievement makes Unpas improve competency of both its teachers and students, quality of human resources, expand the journals and research, as well as provide best service to the students.
“We will make it as evaluation and self-introspection to make Unpas better. We committed to provide the best quality of education,” he continued.
Vice Rector III, Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si said that the result is an achievement that needs to be thanked to as an appreciation of the hard-work of Unpas academic civitas.
“Hopefully with this preparation, Unpas could improve the achievement; from conservative university to modern university which is able to compete globally,” he said.
There are at least three main criteria included by 4ICU in the university ranking. First, it needs to be accredited by national/local accreditation agency. In Indonesia, those who have right to carry out accreditation process is National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (Badan Akreditasi Nasional-Perguruan Tinggi, BAN-PT).
Second, it should be the university which opens enrolment for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree Program. Thus, vocational education institutions, military-based, seminar classes, and so on are not involved in the 4ICU assessment.
Third, it should be the university which implements both offline and non-distant learning education system. UniRank itself makes the list by supplying the data related to popular universities in Indonesia in a valid, unusual way and provided by independent web intelligent source. (Reta)*
