BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Vice Rector III Universitas Pasundan Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si sends off 15 athletes who are going to compete in Gebyar LLDIKTI IV on Thursday, 14 July 2022.
Unpas sends off 15 athletes to volleyball and table tennis sports brand. Few of them are athletes who have already competed in prestigious and multi-event competition.
These fifteen athletes will compete at the Lapangan Disian Cimahi, accompanied by Coach Anwar Sadat and Coordinator of Student’s Sport (Koordinator Olahraga Mahasiwa, KOM) as leading sector.
Unpas Vice Rector III said that LLDIKTI Region IV West Java-Banten became the first region who holds a sport competition, art creation and social charity.
“Although it is only for two sport branches, we optimistically can get a champion. Besides, our team is strengthened by volleyball gold medal winner at the 2021 SEA Games Farhan Halim, athlete of Papua PON XX and the 2022 Proliga and athlete of Porda Kabupaten Bandung,” he said.
The participation of Unpas athletes in Gebyar LLDIKTI IV sports competition is proof that there is a balance between academic and non-academic activities.
“Hopefully, Unpas athletes will be able to show the best game and make the institution’s name in regional IV proud,” he hoped.
Routine Exercise for 2 Weeks
Coach Anwar Sadat said that Unpas volleyball team have taken two-week exercise routinely. Although it was in short time, he himself believe that Unpas team would perform neatly.
Unpas KOM also help the talent scouting to select potential athlete in several faculties.
“For volleyball, we send off 14 athletes, most of them are from FISIP, plus 3 from Faculty of Engineering, 1 from Faculty of Law and one from Faculty of Economic and Business,” said Sadat.
Reported from LLDIKTI IV website, participant of Gebyar LLDIKTI IV reached to 1.473. Gebyar LLDIKTI IV was held in order to welcome and commemorate the 4th Anniversary of LLDIKTI IV as well as the 77th Indonesian Anniversary.
Gebyar LLDIKTI IV aims to develop art creation and sports, as well as national spirit of academic civitas of universities in LLDIKTI IV.
