
BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) is currently preparing facilities and infrastructures, as well as optimizing academic system to welcome its 1.104 new students for 2022/2023 academic year.
These new students in all faculties will start their semester courses on Monday, 10 October 2022. This week, they are still attending the program of campus introduction hybrib, online and offline.
FISIP becomes the faculty which accepted new students the most on Unpas New Student Admission for 2022/2023 academic year. Therefore, the faculty keeps optimizing the facilities of its classroom and other supporting facilities.
“We continually are preparing our best, especially for FISIP whose students are the most; therefore, we need to pay our focus on optimizing the facilities of classroom and other facilities,” said the Unpas FISIP Dean, Dr. M. Budiana, S.IP., M.Si., on Thursday, 6 October 2022.
Regarding the courses, he said that every academic issues have been well prepared. Its implementation will also be evaluated at least once a week, in order to review and observe the lacks which need to be fixed.
“FISIP Vice Dean I has already been ready on it. Later on, the evaluation will be taken regularly; so that, we will not face and can avoid similar issue each week,” he explained.
Department of Communication Studies still Dominates
As similar to previous year, Department of Communication Studies has been still popular among new students, followed by Department of International Relationship and Business Administration on its Top 3.
“This year, these 3 departments are the most wanted and popular. Communication Studies reached the highest, since we are now in the communication era. From the point of view of interest, it is almost similar, but from the number of students, these departments are in Top 3,” he added.
On the other hand, he also said that the increase of number of FISIP new students were also due to the Covid-19 pandemic condition which is much better and normal.
“Public, including the young ones, have their high enthusiasm raised after being restricted due to Covid-19 pandemic for 2 years. FISIP PKKMB also implemented hybrid method; those who attended the activity were around 700 students, on the condition that the booster vaccine has been given to them. While the rest are allowed to attend online,” he concluded. (Reta)**
