BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Student’s Activity Unit, Art Community (UKM Lingkung Seni Mahasiswa, LISMA) Universitas Pasundan always has its own interesting method to attract people in increasing its members’ creativity.
Through the event Emblim, on Sunday, 6 March 2022, LISMA did not only encourage the spirit of art to its new members, but also build their team work to create solid harmony and relation.
Emblim is an inauguration ceremony to change new members’ status: from non-full regular status to full regular status, as well as ceremony to embed the emblem. Although in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic, LISMA has been able to select hundreds of people and inaugurate the amount of 109 new members.
Before Emblim takes place and time, LISMA has already undergone the New Member Inauguration (Pelatikan Anggota Baru, PAB) to embed members’ scarves to the members.
Head of LISMA for the period of 2021-2022 Dimas Rezan Primusalim said that the 38th-grade LISMA new members were named after Veltiosi. The 38th Emblim presented the concept of underwater world with the theme of Atlantis: Treasures Under the Sea.
“Setting the themes, logos and concepts were completely given to the new members so that they can elaborate their creative ideas. They were also asked to perform according to the selected unit,” he said.
A series of slick performances were presented by the new members, including theatrical performance, monologue, surrealist, Sundanese traditional art, photography, videography, choir, music, band, vocal group, creative dance, modern dance, as well as mapag (a ceremony to welcome somebody).
“Through Emblim, I wanted new members to instil characters of effectiveness, efficiency, creativeness, step-forwarded and dynamic in performing art and organization. I hope, the inauguration could re-increase the quality of art in the era of pandemic,” Dimas continued.
Prepared for New Breakthrough
Dimas felt grateful that, as one of the oldest students’ units in Unpas, Lisma has been still giving its existence within new members. By the support of adequate facilities and infrastructures, LISMA has its belief that it can instil the root of art which is not only excellent in performing, but also being active in organization and academic.
“I think, students’ high interest to join LISMA is not separable from the legacy built by seniors of LISMA, included additional complete studio for five art units, place for practicing and main secretary. It would at least be one of students’ concerns to join,” he explained.
Dimas also said that LISMA will be getting into the next main program which brings the title “Krikil: Krisis Karya LISMA”. Krikil will focus on appreciating art studio and its performer that has been affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
This appreciation is intended to be satire for the government, to make the art studio and its performers be more focused/ concerned on, in the middle of crisis. By creating new breakthrough and spirit from the 38th-grader, Dimas is sure that LISMA could transform itself to be better.
“Beside preparing the main work program, some art units have been doing their programs. Choir [unit] is preparing for national competition; music [unit] will be launching its new song soon; theatre and literature [unit] want to make a poem anthology created by the 1st-38th-grader. We hope it would run as we plan to,” he hoped. (Reta)*
