BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – As much as 160 participants registering for PMB Universitas Pasundan (through KIP Kuliah) undergo an online interview selection on Saturday, 21 August 2021. Recipient candidates for Unpas KIP Kuliah are those who have previously confirmed to passing the written test.
Based on the data collected by Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si., CICP.DBA, the number of registrants for KIP Kuliah reaches up to 924 people. However, after being verified, there were only 460 registrants who have met the requirements and were allowed to attend the written test.
“Participants who passed the administration selection have already attended the written test last week. There was a ranking system by the team and it resulted in around 160 people being interviewed today,” he confirmed.
The interview test was carried at the Hall of Unpas Campus II, Jalan Tamansari No. 6 Bandung, by 10 people, consisting of Vice Deans III of each faculty and help few Heads of the Bureau. It started at 09.00 WIB, through Whatsapp video call feature.
“After the interview test, we will carry out the verification test directly to the students’ location of test. It is because of KIP Kuliah is also closely related to the aspects of social economy, so we need to know and make sure physical aspect related to it to make sure that the fund is going to be well distributed,” he continued.
The aspects referred to include living conditions, confirmation of parents’ income, employment status, including their ability to complete lectures. Because, referring to the SOP made by Kemendikbudristek, there is a minimum GPA requirement and other things that must be met by the students
This year, the quota for KIP Kuliah students provided by Kemendikbudristek is as much as 19 students. As a university with 8 years of experience in accepting students through Bidikmisi (before the KIP Kuliah), Unpas is very open and careful in every process.
“We will be calculating comprehensively so that these 19 people are eligible to receiv KIP Kuliah assistance. Moreover, based on the survey, Unpas students receiving Bidikmisi have good achievements and are active in student activities,” he explained.
For KIP Lecture registrants who do not pass the selection, both in administration verification, written test, and interviews, they still have the opportunity to continue their studies at Unpas with a 20 percent fee discount and free entrance tests.
He hopes that the prospective students of Unpas KIP Kuliah can be at the forefront of representing the interests of the campus. According to him, KIP Kuliah recipients are part of the Unpas Ambassador, because they have passed a very tight competition and selection process.
“Through this interview selection, we will see how they control their emotional, spiritual, and intellectual, because the campus is very concerned about the quality of students as part of the Unpas academic community,” he concluded. (Reta)*
