BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Department of Social Welfare Studies, FISIP Universitas Pasundan sent its 15 students to attend student exchange program ‘Merdeka’ (Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka, PMM) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
This program is part of grant-fund activities of Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka (PKKM) and MBKM implementation.
The sending-off of Unpas Department of Social Welfare Studies’ student will be held at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogjakarta on September 6, 2022 and will be attended by the Dean of FISIP Unpas, Dr. M. Budiana, S.IP., M.Si, Head of Department Social Welfare Studies FISIP Unpas, Dr. Hj. Yuyun Yuningsih, M.Sc., Secretary of Department of Social Welfare Studies FISIP Unpas Umi Hani, S.E., M.Kesos, as well as the staffs of Unpas Social Welfare Studies teachers..
Head of Department of Social Welfare Studies Dr. Hj. Yuyun Yuningsih, M.Si. said, the 15 students will undergo lectures for 1 semester in ‘Kota Pelajar’ (term to call Yogyakarta).
He added that the student exchange program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta had been attended since 2019 before the implementation of the MBKM program.
“This year, Unpas Department of Social Welfare Studies has been counted 4 times sending students to UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta,” he said on Tuesday, 30 August 2022.
Other than with UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Unpas Department of Social Welfare Studies also carries out a student exchange program with Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
The collaboration has even been established since 2014 and the two universities have conducted student exchanges twice.
“We are also working with the Politeknik Kesejahteraan Sosial (Polteksos) Bandung and have conducted student exchanges twice through the MBKM program,” he said.
The courses taken during student exchange at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta will be converted by 20 credits, adjusted to the study program in the Unpas Department of Social Welfare Studies.
According to the theme “Bertukar Sementara, Bermakna Selamanya”, it is hoped that students could set a good example while at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
“Congratulations to the students of Department of Social Welfare Studies who were selected to participate in the student exchange. Hopefully, it can open the horizons of all students and be useful in increasing knowledge,” he added.
All costs required for the student exchange program will be borne by the government through the Kemendikbudristek PKKM grant. (Reta)**
