BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan welcomes 42 students of the 2022 Batch II for ‘Merdeka’ Student Exchange Inbound Program (Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka, PMM) at the Hall of Mandala Saba Ir. H. Djuanda, Jalan Tamansari No 4-8, Bandung, on Thursday, 15 September 2022.

These students are from 23 various universities, consisting of 12 state universities and 11 private universities. In the Batch II, Unpas also sends its 24 students for joining the Outbound PMM Program to the 13 universities.

PMM provides opportunities for students to use their studying right to study for one semester outside their department and university, with a credit of maximum of 20.

Besides of having courses, students can also have chances to carry out activities of ‘bhinneka’, inspiration, reflection, and social contribution.

Rector of Unpas Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU. supports these students to use this opportunity as optimal as possible, both in carrying out the learning about culture and environment, especially in Bandung.

“Apart from having learning process, there will be an introduction to the environment, culture, campus tours, and refreshing programs prepared by PIC PMM so that you can maximize their opportunities while in Bandung,” he said.

The Rector also hoped that the PMM program can strengthen the synergy between universities and aspects of nationality within the Republic of Indonesia. He was also grateful for the trust of university partners who had entrusted Unpas as the PT PMM destination.

Unpas is prepared to implement Independent MBKM

Head of MBKM Organizer who is as well National Merdeka Campus Ambassador Area 2 Dr. Cartono, M.Pd., M.T. said that since the arrangement of MBKM, Unpas automatically responded to it by forming 8 PICs of Learning Activities Form (Bentuk Kegiatan Pembelajaran, BKM) of MBKM.

“We always respond to the program offered by the Ministry of Education and Culture, so that Unpas can win various grant programs, such as the MBKM grant, MBKM KSK, MBKM Center of Excellence, and the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM),” he explained.

The government keeps running the fund grant program to accelerate and transform the universities to be able to fulfil the Main Performance Indicator (Indikator Kinerja Utama, IKU) through MBKM.

With the support of the National Education System Law (Sisdiknas), MBKM will become a sustainable program. For this reason, in 2023, all universities are expected to be able to implement MBKM independently.

“Unpas is trying to run MBKM independently, so that by 2024 the MBKM policy has become a learning culture at Unpas, as well as mandate to improve competence,” he added.

To prepare and build an independent MBKM ecosystem, Unpas has prepared an MBKM Ground Plan which will later involve institutions and units within Unpas. (Reta)**
