Competency Certification for Students of Unpas’ Faculty of Economics and Business

Students of Faculty of Economics and Business Unpas are now equipped with a Special Competency Certificate in addition to a Graduate certificate so that they can further increase their self-confidence. Besides that, the certificate itself could be able to help them to find job opportunity and help a company recruiting employees.

“The Faculty has committed to fulfill the implementation of Article 18 Paragraph (5) of Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower through National Professional Certification Agency (lit. Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi). The agency works ensure the quality of competence and recognition of workers in all professional sectors in Indonesia through a work competency certification process for workers, both from graduates of job training and from work experience”, said the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. H. Atang Hermawan, MSIE., Ak in the Press Release, on Monday, August 2nd, 2020.

The Dean also said that the Faculty of Economics and Business also had a commitment to send their students to compete fairly in a tougher world of work. “The certification (for students) are held by Integrated Service Unit of Certification and Banking (lit. UPT Sertifikasi and Perbankan),” he said. Meanwhile, the Faculty also took collaboration with University of Garut (Uniga) to hold and set the Certification of Primary Accounting and Marketing. This collaboration will be further continued to another certification programs which are formed together by the faculties from both Unpas and Uniga.

By the program, the graduate students have themselves equipped with certificate-proven competencies. Therefore, Faculty of Economics and Business could also make sure the public that its graduate students have had all the ability based on their certificate which was also in accordance with curriculum standards. This, in the end, can also increase competitiveness in the world of work.

The certification program includes A and B Tax Brevet in collaboration with ISEI and HD Tax Center. The training is held every weekday for 43 meetings. After that, the Primary Accounting Certification and Operational Marketing Certification will also be held

Dr. H. Atang Hermawan also stated that all technical guidance activities will be carried out from 29 July to 15 August 2020 online at the FEB Unpas Campus Jl. Tamansari, Bandung, by following the health protocol.

“The rooms used for this program also meet the health protocol requirement. They are also cleaned with disinfectants, equipped with adequate air circulation and equipped with available temperature gauges and hand sanitizers. Each room has a maximum of 7 people,” he said.

Each participants and technical guidance used a Face Shield (provided/ given by the Faculty/ Unit) and a Face Mask. Before entering the room, each participant and technical guidance have their body temperature measured and must wash their hands / clean their hands with a hand sanitizer.

The Dean has already set five assistant lectures for Techical Guidance which consisted of three assistant lectures for the Primary Accounting Technician Program and two assistant lectures for the Operational Marketing Personnel Program,” ***
