BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan holds again the graduation ceremony for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Program at Harris Hotel and Convention Hall, Festival Citylink, Bandung, on Saturday, 28 May 2022.
In this 2021/2022 Batch II Graduation Ceremony, Unpas has inaugurated 1.668 graduates. This graduation is the premiere offline ceremony held by Unpas in the Covid-19 post-pandemic.
Considering the fact that the condition has not come back to normal yet and referred to the regulation set by LLDIKTI Region IV West Java-Banten, this graduation ceremony was held without any guidance, both parents, families, or partner.
To make the room capacity effective, the graduation ceremony was divided into two sessions. Session 1 was attended by graduates from Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Master Program, while Session 1 was for graduates from Faculty of Law, Faculty of Teaching and Education and Faculty of Art and Literature (FISS).
In his speech, Unpas Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU sent his appreciation to all graduates who have successfully completed their study. He also sent his deep apology for not allowing the graduates to attend with their parents.
“Graduation becomes the memorable moment. I believe that this is a proof of sincerity and struggle in giving the important meaning for yourselves and your parents,” he said.
The Rector also stated that developing human[ity] becomes the main important thing to do in the era of disruption. Unpas alumni is expected to adapt and face challenge in the future.
“Graduation is not the end of a journey, but a beginning of one to have a real actual life experience. Do, prove that you are graduates who are able to implement the knowledge for people, nation and country,” he continued.
Head of Pasundan Higher Education Foundation Dr. H. Makbul Mansyur, M.Si also emphasized that in working on a profession and establishing the career, graduates should be able to keep and maintain the integrity and good name of the alma mater.
“I request that, please work creatively, make a strong spirit and never give up, be the pioneer, keep and maintain alma mater’s dignity and alumni’s solidarity,” he stressed.
General Chairman of PB Paguyuban Pasundan Prof. Dr. H. M. Didi Turmudzi, M.Si hoped that by the increase of human resources from Unpas would give its own blessing within community. “Best of luck, for you, to win people’s heart. Do your duty and work with dignity since being an alumni from Unpas is a pride and challenge as well,” he said.
Unpas becomes the university in LLDIKTI Region IV which has been active in reporting students’ data and obtaining diploma numbers. This was stated by Head of LLDIKTI Region IV Dr. M. Samsuri, M.T in his speech.
In front of thousands of students, he advised that they needed to keep developing the idea and creativity, and being consistent in working hard. “Keep being humble when you are getting bigger, walk properly with proper norms and values. Believe in your heart that in the end, your thought will be accepted by the community,” he concluded. (Reta)**
