BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – West Java Governor, Ridwan Kamil symbolically handed over the 2022 Jabar Future Leaders Scholarship (JFLS) at Gedung Sate, on Monday, 24 October 2022.
This year, as many as 11 students of Universitas Pasundan get the JFLS: 3 students for acceleration scholarship, 4 students for affirmation scholarship and 4 students for full scholarship.
The scholarship was also symbolically handed over to 10 students, including Valda Zahirra Sidqi, student of Faculty of Law Universitas Pasundan, who are also recipients for this scholarship for 3 consecutive years.
Valda has also once become one of 22 West Java Millennial Adjutants through the 2021 Jabar Future Leaders (JFL) program.
In addition to scholarships, students will participate in mentoring programs and internship opportunities. Students were also asked to make a business plan and selected the three best innovations to be implemented in West Java.
From Valda’s experience, the JFLS mentoring program helped her improve herself and build relationships.
“It is a matter of pride because not everyone can get the same opportunity. On the other hand, JFLS is a place to prove achievement to parents,” he said.
Should be Able to be Problem-Solver
West Java Governor, Ridwan Kamil advised, as potential leaders, students must be able to respond to the problems by creating innovations.
“Leaders are problem solvers. Leaders are able to contribute to solving problems in West Java. From the innovations made by JFLS students, it signifies a thousand problems, a thousand solutions,” he said.
The governor is ready to look forward to the students’ progress to make a real contribution to the development of West Java. “Hopefully, JFLS recipients will focus on completing their studies and look forward to their work for West Java in any form,” he said. (Reta)**
