BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Students of Master of Notary (Magister Kenotariatan, MKn), Postgraduate School Universitas Pasundan won 11 trophies at the National Competition of Deed-Making Proficiency and Land-Deed Registrar (PPAT).
These achievements again made Unpas MKn the overall winner of the National Competition of Deed-Making which was held online and offline by the Communication Forum of Department of Master of Notary in Private Higher Education (Forum Komunikasi Program Studi Magister Kenotariatan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, FK PS MKN PTS).
The competition was attended by 19 private universities throughout Indonesia that manage the Department of Master of Notary Master.
Previously, MKn Unpas also won the overall title at the 2022 Padjadjaran Notary Fair Deed Making Competition and Practice Simulation.
The competition was held by Association of Notary Student (Ikatan Mahasiswa Kenotariatan, IMNO) and Association of Notary Alumni, IKANO) Universitas Padjadjaran.
Head of Department of Master of Notary Unpas Irma Rachmawati, S.H., LL.M., M.H., Ph.D. said that the instruments assessed at the competition included the cover (of the deed), content, conclusion, and its whole.
“This year, Universitas Islam Bandung (Unisba) who becomes the competition’s host. The main thing is, all participants should be able to master the proper and right making of the deed, know/notice the Law of Notary’s Position, as well as the basics of notary law and PPAT,” he explained.
After this, Unpas MKn prepared to take part in a debate competition which was also held by FK PS MKN PTS.
Irma said the debate aims at testing students’ abilities in dealing with clients and understanding the Law on Notary Positions.
“Although we are not lawyers, we need to convince the client that the process of making the deed must be in accordance with the rules contained in the Notary Position Law, so it is not according to the client’s wishes,” he explained. (Reta)**
