BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Student Federation of Unpas Faculty of Engineering collaborated with World Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonsia (PPI) to hold an online thematic discussion entitled “Teorema Inovasi Teknologi” on Friday and Saturday, April 9-10th, 2021 throuhg Zoom Cloud Meeting and broadcasted live on PAS TV.
The discussion was initiated due to the need of human resource in the research field which was less interested by most graduates from Faculty of Engineering to develop their knowledge expert. The discussion aimed to create the awareness that the technology in Indonesia must be independent with national human resources rather than depending on foreign human resource.
The first sub-theme of the discussion was entitled “Menyikapi Perkembangan Teknologi di Masa Pandemi” in April 9th, 2021 at 15.30 WIB. It was attended by few presenters, including Dr. Ririn Dwi Agustin, S.T., M.T., as Vice Dean I of Unpas Faculty of Engineering, Rayhan Hanif Usama as Director of PPM World PPI and Ifandi Khainung Rahim as Founder and CEO of Satu Persen – Indonesian Life School. The discussion itself was hosted by R. Sandhika Galih Amalga, S.T., M.T, as teacher of Unpas Technical Information.
While the second sub-theme of the discussion was entitled “Siasat Pemberdayaan Mahasiswa Teknik Untuk Pengembangan Teknologi Nasional” on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 at 15.30-18.20 WIB. It was also attended by few presenters, including Prof. Dr. Paulina Pannen, M.Ls, as Innovation System Director of Ministry of Research and Technology/ National Research and Innovation Board, Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Eko Indrajit, M.Sc., M.B.A., M.Phil., M.A as Technology Expert, Dr. Ir. Yusman Taufik, M.P., M.M as teacher of Unpas Faculty of Engineering and Muhammad Ali as Vice Head of World PPI Technology Studies. The discussion was hosted by Dr. Ririn Dwi Agustin, S.T., M.T as Vice Dean I of Unpas Faculty of Engineering.
Head of the event, Sakti Ferdinand, said the discussion is expected to develop knowledge and create new thoughts and awareness of the importance of discussion and dialectics to support thinking awareness and sharpness of critical reasoning.
“I wish the discussion would become a public space to send few thoughts and innovation to develop the knowledge and become the support of moving, especially in the field of technology,” he said.
In line with the saying, leader-in-command of the student federation, Rezki Jabbar Mulia said that in that forum, participants and presenters shared their thoughts to each other about technological issues in order to send each other’s applicative fundamental theory which is later useful for student and society as well.
“I wish the participants and presenters could share and discuss their thoughts on current issues of technology through this discussion,” he explained.
In additional, the Dean of Unpas Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ir. Yusman Taufik, M.P gave his positive appreciation to the federation for successfully holding this thematic discussion.
“I hope it would make a useful result and make student more creative in developing technology,” he said.
Being continued by Vice Rector I of Unpas, Prof. Dr. H. Jaja Suteja, S.E., M.Si, as representative of the Rector of Unpas, the discussion was fully opened, “Hopefully, the discussion run well as we expected,” he said.
“Have a good discussion. Hopefully, it would become an effort to find for solution in facing few problems in these limited atmosphere,” he ended. (Yusuf Eko Winarto)*
