BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – On Thursday, 17 March 2022, Rohman Hidayat was officially elected as Head of Advocate Forum Universitas Pasundan for the period of 2022-2027.
The election of Head of Unpas Advocate Forum was held at the Café Posko, Jalan Martanegara No. 66, Bandung. The event was attended by cross-generation alumni of Unpas Faculty of Law, starting from the class-of-1988 to 2013.
Rohman stated the establishment of Unpas Advocate Forum is expected to be the place which can strengthen the unity of Unpas Faculty of Law.
“Other than that, it will strengthen the silaturahmi of each generation, since there are a lot of alumni who do not know each other as well as go in the opposite way. Let alone, they had once studied at the same university/faculty,” he said.
He also confirmed that advocates, as partner of law enforcement, are ready to be synergized to ensure a fairly-set law enforcement.
“Alumni of Unpas Faculty of Law in Indonesia, especially those who serve as advocates, please join Unpas Advocate Forum. Let us hold our communication to make us grow stronger and make advocate profession still on its line,” he said.
Unpas Faculty of Law Vice Dean III, M. Erick Ernawan, SH said that Rohman, previously representing alumni of Unpas Faculty of Law, has already contacted him related to the plan on forming Unpas Advocate Forum.
Personally, the Dean himself, as alumnus of Unpas Faculty of Law as well as an advocate, highly welcomed the idea to connect the silaturahmi in a form of Unpas Advocate Forum.
“I will support any kind of forum as long as it can represent all alumni of Unpas Faculty of Law; in this case, an advocate forum, with the purpose of raising the alma mater of Faculty of Law,” he said.
In the near future, he explained, alumni of Unpas Faculty of Law along with commissioner formed by Unpas IKA plan to re-establish the alumni association.
“IKA FH Unpas has been inactive for a long time without any activity. I, as an alumni and Division III FH Unpas, hope that the IKA FH Unpas could be re-formed soon and its existence and benefits will be felt, especially for alumni of FH Unpas,” he hoped.
Rohman is currently a witness to the case of the murder of a mother and child in Subang. In that case, he was considered capable of assisting his clients, Yosep (the victim’s husband) and Yoris (the victim’s biological son) well.
As is known, until now the killers of Tuti Suhartini and Amalia Mustika Ratu have not been revealed. It has been six months since the investigation team has been working to uncover this murder case.
“Through the Unpas Advocate Forum, alumni can share experiences and problems they are facing,” he said.
He is optimistic that the presence of the Unpas Advocates Forum can give new breath for Advocates of FH Unpas alumni in carrying out their profession. (Reta)*
