BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Universitas Pasundan has already had its own Centre of Innovation and Business Incubator (Pusat Inovasi and Inkubator Bisnis, PIIB) for more than 5 years. PIIB was established to develop innovation and technopreneurship, improve the entrepreneurial climate, undergo the MSMEs assistance, as well as maintain the research result.
Every year, Unpas PIIB has been carrying out work program in the education field and community service. Other than that, Unpas PIIB is also involved in rebuilding MSMEs program, commercializing innovation product and developing entrepreneurship within internal and external environment.
Secretary of PIIB Unpas, Dr. Dindin Abdurohim Brata Sonjaya, MM., M.Si said about the work program which will be carried out in 2022. Unpas PIIB has already arranged few activities emphasized on both internal and external synergy.
The work programs are to build internal synergy to take opportunity of grant-fund provided by Kemendikbudristek and BRIN, accelerate commercialization of innovation product, as well as creating internal and external synery in developing start-up business, student’s start-up and MSMEs.
“We also try to form a mentor in each department to accompany student in running or starting the business. Today, we are still listing the prospective student tenant of Unpas who will be later re-selected to be incubated. So far, we got quite great responses, there are already 45 tenants from one department only,” he said.
The data collected is in the form of the field of business which has been ran in, including problems faced. Most of the students’ business run in culinary and fashion sector. In addition, problems which were able to identified were dominated by the lacking of financial maintenance, marketing, human resource and production.
“Insya Allah, socialization program of mentoring will be held in January or February 2022. I am sure, if the program is already running, students’ business selected could be more than this. Plus, there are already 16 opportunities of students’ program for entrepreneurship development with various kind of schemes that can be followed up to. This could be very helpful,” he continued.
Entrepreneurship program and scheme which can be taken advantages include Program Kreativitias Mahasiswa (PKM) consisting of 8 programs, namely PKM Research, PKM Entrepreneurship, PKM Service (to community), PKM Innovation Implementation, PKM Work Creation, PKM Constructive Futuristic Idea, PKM Written Idea and PKM Scientific
“There are also Program Holistik Pembinaan and Pemberdayaan Desa (PHP2D), Program Wira Desa, Kompetisi Bisnis Mahasiswa Indonesia, Kegiatan Berwirausaha Mahasiswa Indonesia, Akselerasi Startup Mahasiswa Indonesia, Program Talenta Inovasi Indonesia, Startup, and Scaleup. There are a lot of opportunities, take advantage of it,” he said.
Not only students and teachers, PIIB Unpas has also listed its own prospective tenant data, from MSMEs in Sentra Rajut Binong. There are 12 prospective tenants in the sector of trading and 15 tenants in fashion sector; while in digital marketing and content, there are 8 prospective tenants.
“The existence of PIIB Unpas is the spearhead in the development of young entrepreneurs. PIIB Unpas, as a centre of the commercialization of technology products and a centre of business development, wants to establish the independence of the nation and create an entrepreneurial culture based on expertise. Hopefully our mission will always run smoothly so that it can be very useful for the community,” he concluded. (Reta)*
