BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Asosiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Informatika dan Komputer (APTIKOM) along with Department of Informatics Engineering Universitas Pasundan holds a Workshop on Preparation of Self-evaluation Report (Laporan Evaluasi Diri, LED) and Department Performance Report (Laporan Kinerja Program Studi, LKPS) for Infokom Independent Accreditation Institution (Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri, LAM Infokom).
The workshop was held hybrid in Unpas Rector’s Meeting Room, Campus IV, Jalan Setiabudhi No. 193, Bandung and in online room Zoom Meeting on Saturday, 13 March 2022. The total participants joined in online room were up to 220 people.
The event presented Secretary of Executive Board of Infokom LAM, Prihandoko, S.Kom., M.I.Kom., Ph.D as keynote speaker.
Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU stated that in Indonesia, there are six LAMs which have already been recognized by the government, namely, Infokom LAM, Technique, Nature Science and Formal Studies, Economic Business Management and Accounting, Education and PTKes LAM.
“We should really consider giving two thumbs-up for the hard work of Infokom LAM in compiling the instrument form until it finally received recognition from BAN-PT to carry out the accreditation process on Department of Informatics and Computer,” he explained.
The birth of LAM is a mandate of Law No. 12 of 2012 which aims to ensure the quality of universities and study programs (departments) in Indonesia. In the future, the application for study program accreditation will no longer go through BAN-PT, but LAM.
“The presence of LAM Infokom and other LAMs is expected to encourage quality assurance to be more relevant to the needs of the professional world. Hopefully, it can be a leading sector in each department,” he added.
Secretary of the Executive Board of Infokom LAM, Prihandoko, S.Kom., M.I.Kom., Ph.D explained, starting March 31, 2022, study program accreditation must be submitted to LAM, while BAN-PT focuses on serving institutional accreditation.
“LAM Infokom will be based on standards and SPMI will be the centre because it is based on quality assurance. It should be emphasized that LAM Infokom is very concerned with the quality process,” he said.
Prihandoko also emphasized that, in order to create an effective accreditation program due to load of administration process, the quality assurance process should be carried out regularly, even daily.
“Therefore, whenever the field assessment and accreditation take place and time, each department would have prepared everything in advance. In applying quality assurance process, we must always pay attention on the steps of arrangement, implementation, evaluation, control and development (penetapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, pengendalian, dan peningkatan, PPEPP) of national standard,” he confirmed.
In applying accreditation process, Infokom LAM uses 9 instruments consisting of vision mission objective and strategy, governance and collaboration, students, human resources, finance facility and infrastructure, education, research, community service program, as well outcomes and output of University Tri Dharma.
“To fulfil these criteria, we need to pay attention to PPEPP to establish continuous quality improvement (CQI) in all aspects of standards; so it would also create a quality culture,” he explained.
In the preparation of the LED, evidence of the implementation of activities must be relevant to the policy/standard/IKU/IKT, the follow-up should be based on internal quality audit, and evidence of standard improvement should be in accordance with the follow-up.
“For the LKPS assessment principle, the matrix is derived from PPEPP-based LEDs. The assessment of qualitative point written in LED must be carried out by using expert judgement approach; while the assessment of quantitative point written in LKPS must be carried out by Infokom SALAM. The IKU/IKT components should be described at the determination and implementation stage,” he said.
After material presentation, the workshop was continued with a practice for filling out accreditation instruments which was attended by all participants. (Reta)*
