BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Head of Education and Culture Office (Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Kadisdikbud) for Subang District, Tatang Komara, was elected as Head of Alumni Association (Ikatan Keluarga Alumni, IKA) for Subang local commissariat (Komisariat Daerah Subang).
Tatang, who is also Head of Kwarcab Gerakan Pramuka for Subang District for 2021-2026, was elected through acclamation system on the Local Gathering (Musyawarah Daerah, Musda) of IKA Unpas, held at Fave Hotel, Jl. Kapten Hanafiah, Kelurahan Karanganyar, Subang, on Sunday, 17 July 2022.
The gathering was attended by Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp., M.Si., M.Kom., IPU., Unpas Vice Rector III Dr. H. Deden Ramdan, M.Si., Head of Main Office for IKA Unpas Subur Dwiono, and few Unpas alumni.
Ready for Tightening Silaturahmi and Contribution
Tatang also said that there are two missions which will be carried out by IKA Unpas Komda Subang. First mission is to establish and tightening silaturahmi between alumni; while second mission is to launch the professionalism within every contribution.
“We would want to re-strengthen silaturahmi between alumni, especially in Subang areas, by carrying out socialization program about Unpas to the community,” he said.
Not only providing contribution to the community, his party is also ready to encourage and support the development of Subang District.
“IKA Unpas becomes an institution playing a role to support government’s program in developing such certain area (rural areas),” he confirmed.
This alumni of Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP) wished that Unpas alumni could improve their professionalism and performance on their work. It is to convince and offer trust to Subang Regent that Unpas alumni are reliable.
“Unpas alumni also provide support and show their dedication in order to implement government’s program in Subang District,” he said.
Asked for Building a Main Centre of Career and Business
Meanwhile, Head of Main Office for IKA Unpas Subur Dwiono emphasized that other than being a place for holding a silaturahmi between alumni, IKA Alumni in various Komda are asked to be the focus of career centre, business centre and community service.
Unpas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Jusuf Sp, M.Si., M.Kom., IPU reminded that wherever a person works in, he/she will be related to his/her previous alma mater.
“Therefore, I advise Unpas alumni to keep alma mater’s great name and show your best performance,” he concluded. (Reta)**
